Yappy Hour at Bell Tower Shops Rescheduled Due to Rain

Rain kept the dogs away last Friday, but not to worry. This month’s Yappy Hour has been rescheduled to Friday, Aug. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bell Tower Shops.

Wine, beer and live music will be available in the center court. Shoppers and their canine companions will enjoy a “bowl stroll” throughout the shopping center where colorful dog bowls will identify 35 merchants who are pooch-friendly, many handing out treats to the four-legged shoppers. Dogs must be leashed.

“This Friday will be double the fun,” said Amy Fletcher-Smith, director of marketing at Bell Tower Shops. “Bring your dogs for shopping, dining and socializing, then stay for a free movie, Rear Window.”

The August movie is the Alfred Hitchcock suspense film, “Rear Window” starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly. Considered by many to be one of Hitchcock’s best and most thrilling pictures, “Rear Window” was ranked #48 on AFI’s 100 Years…100 Movies list.

Moonlight Movies are free with popcorn and movie treats provided by Bell Tower Shops. Screen set-up will be in the courtyard near Bed, Bath & Beyond and T.G.I. Friday’s. The movie will begin at 8:45 p.m. Lawn chairs are suggested and coolers are not permitted.

Yappy Hour, which takes place the second Friday of each month, is free with center court beverage donations benefiting Gulf Coast Humane Society. The mission of the Gulf Coast Humane Society is to provide humane care for surrendered animals in Southwest Florida by offering refuge, providing medical care and facilitating an adoptive home.
