Yappy Hour at Bell Tower Shops Extended Through the Fall

The monthly Yappy Hour & Stroll at Bell Tower Shops was such a howling success, it’s being extended through the fall. The new dates are Friday, Sept. 11, Oct. 9 and Nov. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Wine, beer and live music will be available in the center court. Shoppers and their canine companions will enjoy the “bowl stroll” throughout the shopping center where colorful dog bowls identify 36 merchants who are pooch-friendly. Dogs must be leashed.

“A lot of people include their dogs in their social activities,” said Amy Fletcher-Smith, director of marketing at Bell Tower Shops. “Yappy Hour is designed for people to come enjoy a beverage, dinner, shopping and lively entertainment with their canine companions.”

The event, which takes place the second Friday of each month, is free with center court beverage donations benefiting Gulf Coast Humane Society. The mission of the Gulf Coast Humane Society is to provide humane care for surrendered animals in Southwest Florida by offering refuge, providing medical care and facilitating an adoptive home. The dog-friendly Bell Tower Shops is an open-air lifestyle center, located at U.S. 41 and Daniels Parkway, with 40 retailers, including Saks Fifth Avenue and The Fresh Market, nine restaurants and Bell Tower 20 Regal Cinemas.
