MAY BITES AT BELL TOWER SHOPS
Restaurant Week is May 17-27 and food donations for CCMI accepted all month long
FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 6, 2013) – After the success of last year’s Restaurant Week, Bell Tower Shops announced today it will host the special promotion again this year. From May 17 to May 27, patrons at many Bell Tower restaurants can order a prix fixe menu for the special price of $18.87.
Modeled on popular Restaurant Weeks around the country, the promotion allows patrons to sample Bell Tower’s exciting array of dining establishments at special rates. In some cases $18.87 buys dinner for two. With the slogan “Delectable Cuisine at a Delicious Value,” the promotion is a nod to 1887, when Lee County was incorporated.
“We have had a tremendous season and the restaurants have been packed,” said Valerie Cope, Director of Marketing & Sponsorships for Bell Tower Shops. “With success comes long waits so many locals forego dining out during the busiest time of the year. Restaurant Week is our way of inviting our locals back to experience our great dining options with the added bonus of limited time value menus.”
This year Bell Tower Shops is also bringing back “Summer of Support.” Every month through August, the center will be collecting donations and partnering with a different charitable organization. May’s partner is the Community Cooperative Ministries Incorporated (CCMI). Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Bell Tower’s Guest Services office from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, or at any event.
“Restaurant Week is the perfect time to launch Summer of Support,” said Cope. “Both of these events are about being part of the community, giving back to the local neighborhood. We are thrilled to be partnering with CCMI again and we hope our consumers take advantage of both of these important opportunities.”
CCMI provides more than 14,000 meals each month through their Soup Kitchen and Meals on Wheels programs. The nonprofit agency also educates 40 children in their Community Montessori Preschool, provides weekend backpacks full of food to more than 2,500 children each school year and oversees a mobile food pantry and everyday choice marketplace.
Establishments participating in Restaurant Week at Bell Tower Shops include:
• Bistro 41
• Blue Pointe Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill
• Cantina Laredo
• Courtyard Café
• DaRuMa Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge
• Dickey’s Barbeque
• Grace’s & Shelly’s Cupcakes
