YAPPY HOUR CELEBRATES THE NEW YEAR WITH PET LOOK A LIKE CONTEST

FORT MYERS, FL. – January 4, 2015 – The Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) will celebrate the New Year this Friday, January 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during Yappy Hour at the Bell Tower Shops.  You are invited to join us with your furry friend for a pet/owner lookalike contest that one lucky winner will win a special prize.

During the evening, t-shirts will be offered for sale and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the shelter.  A variety of vendors will be in attendance for the evening’s festivities, which will include music provided by the Bell Tower Shops.

Gulf Coast Humane Society, located at 2010 Arcadia Street in Fort Myers, was established as the first non-profit animal welfare organization in southwest Florida in 1947.  The 501(c)(3) mission is to rescue, provide safe refuge and compassionate care, and find forever homes for abandoned and neglected animals in the area.  GCHS only takes in owner surrendered and transfers from other shelters and rescue groups with a high success rate of adoptions.  Their veterinary clinic is open to the public and offers a full array of affordable services six days a week.
